  2. Be able to evaluate how Fitzgerald uses SYMBOLISM AND TONE to develop meaning in Ch. 2 of Gatsby.

GREAT GATSBY DAY 1: (3/1 Blue, 3/2 Gold)

1. Be able to explain the basics of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s background/biography and identify characters and event early in the novel that are drawn from that experience.

2. Be able to explain and analyze the basic characters/setting of “Gatsby”
–Difference between old/new money and East/West Egg.
