NO WARMUP TODAY

LEARNING TARGETS: As a result of today’s lesson you should be able to analyze the key developments in CH 20

ACTIVITY: Get into your groups. Answer this question : WHY DOES SUZANNE COLLINS SPEND A LARGE CHUNK OF CHAPTER 20 WITH A FLASHBACK ABOUT THE GOAT?

–Who do we really learn about from that story? What do we learn?

–What else in the chapter does the story about the goat paralell? What does that tell us?

–Bigger picture: What’s Suzanne Collins trying to show us in this chapter?

Backing up a bit–why does the capitol essentially make a team out Katniss and Peeta (how does this help the capitol’s goal?). How might it backfire?
