- Set goals for reading stamina and fluency (get better at reading for longer periods of time and read more skillfully)
- Use strategies to find “just the right books”
- Engage in discussion with other readers (we’ll be doing some of that on Friday)
- Develop fluency by connecting to the narrative voice (that’s a fancy way of saying “become a more skillful reader by paying attention to the author’s tone)
