  • Submit PRINTED COPY
  • If you want to submit a rough outline Tuesday, will comment before the end of class
    • Thesis
    • Topic sentences for each paragraph

THURSDAY 3/22

A) Explain what you think the ending of book means (think in terms of Steinbeck’s message).

B) Refine your thinking about Steinbeck’s themes and how he develops them.

WEDNESDAY MARCH 21

  1.  Took a practice vocab quiz
  2. Discussed more “Of Mice and Men”
    1. Talked a lot about what Steinbeck is trying to say by his comparison of
      1. The Dream “Farm”
      2. The reality of “The Ranch”
    2. Big idea is that the big theme of the book is tied up in that so as the book ends, be thinking long and hard about that.
