  • Chapter 6
    1. Why does Scout disapprove of Jem and Dill looking into Boo’s window?
    2. What does Nathan Radley really know about the intruders in his garden? Who receives the blame?
    3. How does this chapter help us have more sympathy for Boo?

 

HOMEWORK:  Complete the Checkpoint sheet at GOOGLE CLASSROOM by Monday.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 14

IN CLASS TODAY:  

  • Discussed Chapter 4 of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD
  • Read 5&6  (HOMEWORK IF NOT FINISHED)

  1. What do the kids find in in the tree near the Radley house?  What do you make of this?
  2. Why do they turn Boo’s life in a game? What is the game?
  3. What surprising event happens at the end of the chapter? What is this important? What might it foreshadow?

    3. What does Scout learn from Walter’s visit to her house?
    4. Atticus tells Scout that there is only one way to understand someone. What is it? Do you agree or not? Why?
    5. What do we learn about the Ewells in this chapter?
